Where do we like to live?

Well we like to live in the wild. But humans are taking our land and building there homes. So sometimes we like to try and live in there attics because its safe from predators. We

are over 100 species of tree squirrels, and we currently inhabit all of the world's continents - except for Antarctica. We are some of the most adaptable animals in the world, which has allowed us to remain populous despite urbanization throughout these lands.

Can we live in your attic? Please!

  • We are cute and although we store food in different locations throughout our ranges, we do not always remember where we buried it. Unrecovered nuts and seeds give way to germinating trees, which is why we are known to play an important role in growing and maintaining forest tree populations. Through our feces we carry Salmonella bacteria its found in our droppings and causes diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever. Lyme disease - spread by the ticks we carry and symptoms include nerve pain, stiffness, and inflammation of the brain or spinal cord. I guess we can make you sick, so I don't think it's such a great idea.
  • If we are a problem call Topper's Wildlife Removal they offer the best squirrel trapping in Dallas/Ft Worth and they also do dead animal removal in Dallas/Ft worth area.
